Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g low-fat curd cheese
- 75 g sugar
- 50 ml milk
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 ml oil, neutral, e.g. sunflower oil or rapeseed oil
- 400 g flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 60 g butter for spreading
- 50 g sugar for rolling
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar for rolling
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
In a bowl, mix the quark, sugar, milk, egg, salt, vanilla extract, and oil. Then add the flour and baking powder and knead into a smooth dough. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface to about 1 cm thick and cut out shapes using any cutters you like. Choose coarse cutters, as the dough will expand in the oven and finer details may be lost. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with melted butter. Bake at 180°C (convection oven) for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown. After baking, roll the warm cookies in the sugar and vanilla sugar mixture.
