Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 15 minutes

ideal for children’s birthdays

Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with baking paper and a baking frame. Beat eggs with sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt for 20 minutes until frothy. Combine flour and baking powder. Stir oil and orange juice into the egg mixture while stirring, then slowly add the flour mixture while stirring. Finally, stir in the green food coloring until the desired color is achieved. Pour the batter into the baking frame and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes (test with a toothpick). Let the base cool thoroughly and then remove it from the pan. Then cut the base in half. I always use the top part for the bottom, as this way the brown spots are no longer visible. Cover the base with a cake frame. Place one layer in the cake frame. For the filling, remove the wafer bases from the marshmallows; these are not needed. Place the marshmallows and quark in a bowl and stir with a spoon until the mixture is very well combined. Whip the cream with cream stiffener until stiff. Drain the mandarins. Carefully fold the cream into the chocolate marshmallow and quark mixture, then stir in the mandarins. Pour the mixture onto the cake base, smooth it out, and place the lid on top. Refrigerate the cake for 2-3 hours, then remove the cake frame. Make a thick icing from powdered sugar and water and use a piping bag with a mini nozzle to draw lines on the football field. Decorate the football field as desired with candles or gummy bears as players.
