- 3 cloves garlic
- 200 ml wine, red, dry
- 1 tsp pepper, freshly ground, black
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 steak(s), beef rump steaks (approx. 150-180 g each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes
Peel the garlic and onion and chop very finely. Mix the pepper, red wine, salt, and rosemary in a bowl. Place the sirloin steaks in a shallow dish or bowl and drizzle with the red wine marinade. Sprinkle the onion and garlic over the steaks. Cover and let stand for about 1 hour. Remove the steaks from the marinade and dry; set the marinade aside. Heat oil in a pan and fry the steaks over high heat until they are nicely browned on both sides. Remove and keep warm. Add the rest of the marinade to the pan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and simmer for another 5-10 minutes. Then add the steaks and heat briefly. Leaf salad and baked potatoes go very well with the steaks.
