Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 steak(s) (beef), 180 g each
- 1 avocado(s), peeled and halved lengthwise
- Cheese, e.g. Donablue (Camembert blended with Roquefort)
- Salt
- pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Baked beef fillet steak with avocado
Sear the steaks for about 2 minutes per side, season to taste, and then place them in a baking dish. Place an avocado half on each steak, then top with cheese as desired. Place everything in the oven preheated to 200°C for about 5 minutes (the cheese should be chewy). Serve with a good red wine. I ate this in Morlaix, a small former pirate town in Normandy, France.
