French chocolate cake with coconut

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 80 g flour
  • 200 g dark chocolate, 70% cocoa
  • 200 g sugar
  • 130 g butter
  • 1 pinch(s) baking powder
  • 30 g desiccated coconut
  • 4 eggs
  • 50 g chocolate, in cubes
  • Powdered sugar, for decoration

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Fondant au chocolate and noix de coco

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt it with the butter in a pan over low heat. Meanwhile, beat the eggs and sugar together until frothy and the sugar has dissolved. Gradually add the flour and baking powder and mix well. Add the chocolate-butter mixture and mix well. Add the desiccated coconut and mix everything well. Pour the mixture into a greased springform pan with a diameter of 28-32 cm and scatter the chocolate cubes on top. Bake the cake for 25 minutes at 180°C. After baking, let the cake cool in the pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. In France, this cake is also served with a vanilla sauce.
