Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g onion(s), cut into fine rings
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • 200 g meat sausage, cut into fine strips
  • 1 cup rice, cooked
  • 1 can mandarin orange(s), drained
  • 150 g cheese, cut into fine strips
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • some soy sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes

a fruity salad

Bring the wine to a boil with 1 cup of water. Pour the wine over the onion rings and let them simmer for about 10 minutes, then drain and set aside. Combine the oil, vinegar, and spices. Mix the rice with the onions, sausage, cheese, and mandarin oranges, pour over the dressing, and mix everything thoroughly. Let it simmer in the refrigerator for about 4 hours.
