French toast sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slice(s) toast bread, wholemeal
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some nutmeg
  • some parsley
  • some salt
  • some pepper
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard, medium hot
  • some lamb’s lettuce
  • 1 slice(s) mountain cheese
  • 2 slices of salami
  • 2 tbsp natural yogurt
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Crack the egg into a shallow bowl, whisk it, and season it with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and parsley. Dip each slice of toast, one at a time, into the egg so that it evenly absorbs the egg and seasonings. Sprinkle the mustard, lamb’s lettuce, cheese, and salami on one slice. Place the other slice of toast on top. Add a little oil to a small, hot pan and fry the sandwich until golden brown on both sides. Flatten the slices of toast slightly with a sturdy spatula. Remove from the pan, cut them in half diagonally, and serve with yogurt. You can, of course, also serve it with a variety of dips. The toppings can also be varied. The sandwich also tastes great with ham, for example.
