Fried bread with tuna, onion and pepperoni

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s), cut into rings
  • 2 peppers, cut into rings
  • 30 g butter
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Fry the bread (I used rye bread, about 1 cm thick) in butter on both sides until nicely toasted. Arrange the tomatoes in thin slices on the bread and season with salt and pepper, then spread half of the onion and pepper on the bread, followed by the tuna (I use olive oil, or in its own juice, which I discard and replace with olive oil). Finally, spread the leftover onion and pepper on the bread. Enjoy lukewarm; I heat it up in the microwave with fan/convection. This is a very refreshing dish that can be enjoyed all year round, but it tastes best in summer. Use onions and peppers according to your own taste. To start with, perhaps use just half an onion and half a pepper.
