Fried Mess from Wok

The perfect fried mess from wok recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Pork belly
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • Fresh ginger
  • 1 Onion red
  • 1 Paprika
  • 0,5 bunch Spring onions
  • 1 tsp Chili Sauce (Sambal Oelek)
  • Soybean oil
  • Soy sauce light
  • Soy sauce dark
  • Rice wine
  1. First, cook the pork belly in enough salted water for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the vegetables can be cut. Finely chop the garlic and about half the amount of ginger. Cut the peppers into cubes or lozenges and the spring onions into fine rings. Cut the onion into fine wedges.
  1. Take the pork belly out of the water and let it drain on kitchen paper, if necessary pat dry. Cut into chopsticks straight pieces. Heat the oil in the wok and fry the garlic and ginger. Mix the sambal with a spoon. Add the pork and fry the rind until translucent. Deglaze with a good dash of light soy sauce and a dash of rice wine.
  1. Add the vegetables and fry them briefly. Season with dark soy sauce and fry briefly. Best served on a bowl of rice. Depending on your taste, the amount of sambal can of course be adjusted.
