Fried mozzarella slices

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300g mozzarella
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 eggs
  • Flour
  • salt and pepper
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the mozzarella into approximately 1 cm thick slices and pat dry with kitchen paper. Heat the oil to 185°C. Meanwhile, beat the eggs in a deep plate. Sprinkle a little flour on one plate and the breadcrumbs on another. Coat the mozzarella slices in flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip them in the beaten egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Fry in the hot oil until the slices are golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot. Note: If the cheese slices are left unfried for too long, the coating may come off.
