Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 500 g Chinese egg noodles, or regular spaghetti
- Water
- 750 g meat (gyros)
- 2 carrots
- 1 can of bamboo shoots
- 1 onion(s)
- Walnut oil
- some sunflower oil
- Paprika powder, hot
- Spice mix (Chicken Powder)
- Spice mix, (Asia)
- curry powder
- salt and pepper
- some soy sauce or Maggi
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Grate the carrots into small strips and chop the onions. Sauté the onions and carrots with the bamboo shoots in walnut oil and season lightly. Brown the gyro meat as well. Add a little sunflower oil to a roasting pan. Drain the noodles and add them to the pan. Add the meat, bamboo shoots, onions, and carrots and season with the spices and soy sauce. Sauté briefly and serve on plates. If it’s too dry, just add a little more oil.
