Fried savoy cabbage

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 m.-large savoy cabbage
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Remove the dark outer leaves from the savoy cabbage, cut out the stalk, and cut the cabbage into medium-thin strips. Finely slice one garlic clove. Deseed the chili pepper and cut it into fine rolls. Heat a little olive oil in a large pan and lightly fry the garlic and chili pepper. Immediately add the savoy cabbage and fry until it starts to brown. Season with half a small bottle of Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with a pinch of sugar and season with salt and pepper. If the savoy cabbage strips are getting too dark, reduce the heat. Fry until the savoy cabbage is cooked through but still has a bite. It goes perfectly with any kind of roast meat and baked potatoes. This isn’t a creamy vegetable, but a purely natural food. The Worcestershire sauce adds a kick.
