Fried spinach with onions

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 g leaf spinach, cleaned or frozen
  • 2 onions
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, (3 cm)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 125 ml cream
  • 3 tbsp Clarified butter (Ghee) or oil
  • ¼ tsp chili, ground
  • 1 tsp cumin, ground
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander, ground
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Thinly slice the onions and fry them in the heated fat with ginger and crushed garlic until golden brown. Add the spices and fry for 1 minute. Add the spinach and salt, cover, and cook over medium heat. Finally, add the cream. Serve with basmati rice or naan.
