Fried Squid Fillet

The perfect fried squid fillet recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Squid fillet
  • 3 St Boiled potato
  • 6 St Boiled cauliflower florets
  • 6 St Clarified butter
  • Spices to taste
  1. Cut the potatoes into thick slices and fry them in the lard
  2. Turn the browned potatoes and add the cauliflower
  3. Shortly before the end of the roasting time, add the squid fillet cut into small cubes (approx. 2 x 3 cm)
  4. Now fry for almost 2 minutes, turning frequently
  5. Note: “Fillets” are strips of the tubes of giant or Humboldt squid; important: the “paper” skin on one side should be peeled off; the “fillets” are supplied in brine, so be careful with salt; bought at Metro in the fresh fish department
