Fructose-free waffles

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g glucose
  • 125 g margarine
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with glucose

Beat the eggs with the glucose until frothy. Then add the margarine and mix. Next, add the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix well, gradually adding the milk. Bake the waffle batter in a (greased if necessary) waffle iron. Note: This is basically a regular waffle batter with the sugar replaced with dextrose. I came up with this recipe because I was diagnosed with fructose intolerance and had to completely avoid fructose and regular sugar (which is broken down into glucose and fructose in the body) for a while. These waffles taste a little different than regular waffles, but I found them delicious. So if you have to or want to avoid regular sugar, this is a good alternative!
