Fry meatballs properly: These are the ingredients
If you want to prepare meatballs, you should make sure that the rolls are from the day before. This is important so that the meatballs have a better consistency and do not fall apart. The following ingredients are required:
- 500 grams of mixed pork and beef mince
- 1 roll from the day before
- A dash of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- Salt pepper
How to prepare the meatballs: recipe
First, soak the bun in some water or milk. Let it soak for about an hour. Then squeeze the liquid out of the bun. In this chapter, you will learn how to fry the meatball properly.
- Make the meat mixture: Clean and chop the onion into small cubes. Mix the onion, ground beef, bread, and egg in a bowl. Then add the salt and pepper. The mass is perfect if something sticks to your hands.
- Form meatballs: Wet your hands with a little water and knead balls of the same size. Flatten the balls a little to make them easier to cook through. Make a small well in the middle.
- Fry the meatballs: Put some oil or clarified butter in the pan. Sear the meatballs on both sides for about seven minutes. A light crust should form.
- Oven: Then lay the meatballs out on a baking sheet. Put them in the oven at 175 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- Please note: the thicker and larger the meatballs are, the longer they will need to roast. If you’re not sure if the meatballs are done, split them in half. If these are still red, they still need some time.
