Garlic bread

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 pack of toast or sandwich bread
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 pack of butter
  • Herbs, fresh or frozen (e.g. 8-herb mixture)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes

Soften the butter, season with salt and pepper. Add herbs, if desired. Press in the garlic cloves. Mix everything well. Spread each slice of toast or sandwich with the garlic and herb butter. Wrap the entire loaf, top and bottom, in two sheets of aluminum foil. Let it rest in the refrigerator for a day. Bake at approximately 190-200°C for 30 minutes, then remove the top layer of aluminum foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes to crisp up the bread.
