Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 20 g butter
  • 8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 ½ dl white wine
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, white
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 100 g butter, kitchen-warm
  • 1 bunch of chives, finely chopped
  • some salt and pepper
  • some white bread or a baguette

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Garlic butter for garlic bread for 6-8 people as bread with salad

Heat 20g of butter in a small pan, add the onions, and sauté lightly. Add the garlic, sauté briefly, and deglaze with the white wine. Add the vinegar and lemon juice, a little salt, and then simmer until only about 1 tablespoon of liquid remains on the onions and garlic. Set aside and let cool. Cream the warm butter with salt and pepper until fluffy, add the onion-garlic mixture and chives, and mix everything thoroughly. Preheat the oven to the highest setting with the top heat. Spread the butter thinly on slices of white bread and gratinate for three minutes.
