Garlic pickled in honey

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 25 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 150 g honey
  • 3 lemons, including the juice
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • Salt
  • Milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Blanch the garlic cloves in milk for 2-3 minutes, drain well. Bring the honey to a boil with lemon juice and a pinch of salt, then add the rosemary and chili pepper. Place the garlic in a 1/2-liter preserving jar, pour the hot honey mixture over it, and seal tightly. Let it steep for 3 to 4 days. Delicious as a side dish with chicken, leg of lamb, or lamb chops.
