Garlic Soup
The perfect garlic soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Potatoes (here: triplets)
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 0,5 tsp Salt
- 0,5 tsp Ground caraway
- 0,5 tsp Rubbed marjoram
- 1 piece Ginger approx. 20 g
- 2 tbsp Goose fat
- 1 Strong pinch of salt
- 1 Strong pinch of pepper
- 1 Strong pinch of caraway seeds ground
- 2 Discs Black bread
- 2 tbsp Goose fat
- Peel garlic and crush / scrape with salt (½ teaspoon) with the back of a knife. Peel the ginger and dice very finely. Peel, wash, quarter and cut the potatoes diagonally into diamonds. Pour water (1.25 liters) into a saucepan, add all the ingredients (pressed garlic, diced ginger, potato rue, ground caraway, rubbed marjoram, diced ginger and goose lard) and simmer / simmer for about 20 minutes. Season to taste with salt (1 big pinch), pepper (1 big pinch) and ground caraway seeds (1 big pinch). Cut the black bread into small diamonds and toast in a pan with goose fat (2 tbsp). Serve garlic soup with toasted bread.
