Garlic squid rings

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 600 g squid tube(s), thawed
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 handful of fresh mixed herbs, e.g. parsley, thyme, rosemary, sage
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Paleo, SiS, low-carb

Wash the thawed squid tubes and cut into rings. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the garlic. Before the garlic begins to brown, add the squid rings, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, finely chop the herbs. Once the water has evaporated, sprinkle the squid with the herbs, squeeze on a little lemon juice, season with salt, pepper, and a little cayenne pepper, and fold in. Let it marinate for a few minutes with the heat off. Serve with a lemon wedge. A green salad with onions goes very well with this.
