Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g margarine
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Sugar, coarse
  • Walnuts, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sift flour and baking powder onto a board and make a well. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, salt, and ginger. Sprinkle the margarine flakes over the flour and work it in by hand. Chill the dough for 1/2 hour. Roll out the dough thinly, cut out into circles, brush with egg yolk, and press into coarse sugar or chopped walnuts. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) on the bottom rack for 12-14 minutes.
