good for sore throats and in the cold season

Heat the water in a pot. Carefully peel the ginger or wash the organic ginger thoroughly and slice it thinly. Add the ginger slices, cinnamon, cardamom, and cayenne pepper to the pot of hot water. Depending on your taste, you can also add cloves or substitute another ingredient. For a fruitier flavor, I can also imagine using orange juice or slices, although I haven’t tried it myself. Bring everything to a boil, stirring frequently, and simmer on low heat with the lid closed for about 5-10 minutes. The tea should then steep for at least an hour. I always turn off the stove and leave the pot on it, but it can also be removed from the heat or poured into a thermos. If the tea is too strong for you, you can also stir in a little honey. The tea will keep for several days and can be reheated repeatedly. The ginger pieces and, if desired, the cinnamon stick or fresh cloves can be removed or left in the tea after the tea has steeped. Be careful, though, as this will make it stronger.
