Apple compote with vanilla pudding

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 400 ml apple juice
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 cup cream, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the apples, remove the blossoms, and cut the fruit into nut-sized pieces. Combine the prepared apples with sugar and water to make a compote. Transfer the compote to a bowl and let it cool. Drain the compote in a sieve and bring the liquid to a boil with the apple juice and vanilla pudding powder. Fold the compote into the vanilla pudding, pour into dessert dishes, cover with cling film, and let it cool. If you like, garnish the dessert with a dollop of cream.
