Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 roast turkey (thigh, about 800 g)
- Salt

- 5 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 cloves garlic (1 clove squeezed, 1 clove sliced)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 pinch of cumin
- 125 ml water

Glazed leg of Turkey
Wash the meat, pat dry, and season with pepper. Brown it all over in 3 tablespoons of oil in a roasting pan, add the onion and garlic slices. After browning, season with salt, deglaze with 125 ml water, and roast in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 70 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the soy sauce, crushed garlic, honey, cumin, tomato paste, and the remaining oil. Spread one-third of this paste on the leg after about 30 minutes, then another third after 10 minutes, and the rest 10 minutes later. Remove the turkey leg after the end of the roasting time, cover, and let it rest for 5 minutes. Strain the meat juices through a sieve, season to taste, and pour over the sliced meat. Serve with wild (Indian) rice mixed with Patna rice, prepared according to the package instructions, or mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, such as broccoli or corn.
