Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 250 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 500 g apples
  • n. B. Rum
  • e.g. cake icing, rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Make a batter from the ingredients. Peel the apples and coarsely grate them. If desired, you can soak the apples in a little rum. Grease a springform pan and pour half of the batter into the pan, then spread the apples on top and cover with the remaining batter. Bake at 180°C for about 50 minutes. Do the skewer test. Every oven bakes differently. If the cake is getting too brown, cover with aluminum foil. After baking, you can coat the cake with a rum glaze, for example, if you like.
