Grandma's carrot vegetables

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 125 g margarine
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the carrots and potatoes and cut into pieces. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and the bay leaf, and cook in a little water until soft. After cooking, carefully drain the liquid and remove the bay leaf. Mash everything with a potato masher. Peel the onion, slice it into rings, and sauté it in melted margarine. Mix it with the vegetables along with 1 tablespoon of mustard. Serve best with meatballs.
