Grandma's coconut macaroons

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g desiccated coconut
  • 100 g oat flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

makes about 80 macaroons

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Gradually add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Continue beating until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture forms a glossy mixture. Fold in the desiccated coconut and oats. Place small mounds of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 20-30 minutes.
