Grandma's goulash soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork goulash
  • 500 g beef goulash
  • 6 potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 pinches of sugar
  • 2 cubes of stock
  • 1 jar red wine
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Maggi
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Peel the potatoes, onions, and garlic and dice them into small cubes. Chop the meat even smaller if necessary. Heat a little oil in a large pot and brown the meat. Add the onions, garlic, tomato paste, and paprika. After about 3 minutes, add the potatoes and deglaze with water and red wine. Crumble in the stock cube. Season with Maggi, salt, pepper, and sugar. Then simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours. A little tip: It tastes even better reheated!
