Grandma's quick milk soup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 750 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s), separated
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, for cooking with 500 ml of milk (vanilla flavor)
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with egg and pudding powder

Separate the egg. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Take about 3 tablespoons of the milk and bring the remaining milk to a boil. Thoroughly whisk the egg yolks with the 3 tablespoons of milk, the sugar, and the custard powder. When the milk boils, whisk in the mixture and let it cook for one minute. Then remove from the heat. Fold in the beaten egg whites, leaving small snowflakes visible; this makes the soup wonderfully light and airy. Ready to enjoy! Leftovers can also be eaten cold; they taste like very creamy vanilla pudding.
