Grandma's "Red Meat with Rice"

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g beef goulash
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 100 ml water
  • rice
  • Sunflower oil
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Finely dice the onions and season the beef goulash with pepper and paprika. Heat sunflower oil or butter in a pan and brown the meat, stirring occasionally. Add the diced onions and sauté. Then deglaze with water and stir in the tomato paste. Season to taste and simmer for about 1-1.5 hours. Serve with rice.
