Grandma's simple rice casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 250 g rice pudding
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g sugar or depending on how sweet you want it
  • 100 g margarine
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

First, whisk the eggs thoroughly. Then, add the eggs and the other ingredients to a heatproof casserole dish and mix well. Then, bake the mixture in an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 60 minutes. IMPORTANT! Stir the casserole occasionally to prevent the rice from sinking. We always serve the casserole with canned fruit and/or sprinkle it with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
