Grandma's style chopped bean soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g beef leg slice(s)
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 600 g green beans, threaded and cut with a bean cutter
  • 350 g waxy potatoes, peeled, diced
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 ½ liters of water, hot
  • Salt and pepper, black from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours

Heat the oil in a large pot and sear the beef on both sides. Add water, add salt, and simmer on low heat for 2.5 to 3 hours. Remove the meat and chop it. Cook the beans, potatoes, and onion in the broth for about 20 minutes. Then add the meat back in and season the soup with salt and pepper.
