Grapefruit-Rosemary Lemonade

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g water
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 tsp rosemary, dried
  • 6 grapefruits
  • 300 ml mineral water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Make the syrup: Bring the water and sugar to a boil. Add the rosemary and bring to a boil briefly. Remove the mixture from the heat, set aside, and let it steep, covered, for 1-2 hours. Strain the syrup through a sieve and pour into clean bottles. For one liter of lemonade, combine 100 ml of syrup with 600 ml of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and 300 ml of mineral water. Tip: The syrup will keep for several weeks if refrigerated!
