Gratinated fish fillet with mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g fish fillet(s)
  • some lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp anchovy paste
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 80 g ham (Katenschinken), diced
  • 400 g mushrooms
  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 150 g sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and dice the onion. Trim and thinly slice the mushrooms. Fry the ham in a pan, add the onion and mushrooms, and sauté lightly. Rinse the fish fillets, pat dry, and drizzle with a little lemon juice. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Brush the fillets with the anchovy paste and tomato paste and place in a lightly greased baking dish. Spread the mushroom mixture over the fillets. Add knobs of butter, sprinkle with cheese, and breadcrumbs. Bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Then spread the sour cream over the fish and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve with rice or baguette.
