Gratinated Maultaschen

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 tsp vegetable broth
  • 1 pack of Maultaschen (approx. 300 g)
  • 250 ml tomato sauce
  • 50 g crème fraîche
  • 125g mozzarella
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Bring 750 ml of water to a boil in a saucepan, add the vegetable stock, and add the Maultaschen. Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Drain in a sieve and let it drain. Heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan, stirring occasionally. Stir in the crème fraîche, and spread the sauce in a greased baking dish. Wash the tomatoes and remove the stems. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella. Alternate the layers of Maultaschen and tomatoes in the dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C (fan oven: 200°C) for about 15 minutes.
