Gratinated spinach schnitzel

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g schnitzel, pork, turkey, chicken
  • ½ package creamed spinach
  • 50 g cheese, grated, e.g. Edam, Gouda

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Schnitzel topped with spinach.

Pound the schnitzel thinly between sheets of cling film using the flat side of a meat cleaver. Place it in a small baking dish and cover with creamed spinach. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 175°C (fan oven) for about 20 minutes. There’s no need to season the meat, as the seasoning from the spinach will soak into the meat.
