Gratinated tagliatelle alla Carbonara

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g tagliatelle pasta
  • salt water
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Peel and finely dice the onion. Fry the bacon cubes in hot oil, add the onions, and fry. Pour in 300g of cream and season well with salt and pepper. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Whisk together the cheese, egg, and 100g of cream. Fold the cheese and egg mixture into the pasta and season again to taste. Place the pasta in a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approx. 15-20 minutes.
