Great-Grandma Elschen's Spitzgebäck

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg flour
  • 500 g sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g coconut oil
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 3 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs, size M

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 7 hours

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead into a dough. Then refrigerate overnight. Don’t be surprised if the dough is very hard the next day. I process the dough in my food processor with a meat grinder and cookie cutter attachment. Since we like the cookies very light, I bake them at 180°C for 10 minutes. If you prefer them darker, just leave them in for a bit longer. This is an old family recipe from my great-grandmother, and I hope you enjoy it.
