Greek feta in puff pastry

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 feta cheese, approx. 200 g
  • 1 package of puff pastry, approx. 275 g
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 egg yolk
  • some honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat) or 180°C (fan oven). Remove the puff pastry from the packaging and unfold it on the work surface so that the puff pastry lies crosswise on the worktop. Remove the feta cheese from the packaging and let it drain. Place the dry feta cheese in the center of the puff pastry and fold the top and bottom sides over the feta cheese. Next, fold the right and left sides over the cheese, one after the other. Place the parcel seam-down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush the puff pastry with the egg yolk. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about half an hour. Remove the feta in the puff pastry from the oven and serve with the honey.
