Green asparagus from the slow cooker

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g asparagus, green
  • 10 g butter, salted
  • 1 tsp lemon juice, fresh
  • some herbal salt
  • some pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Slowly cooked with full flavor

Butter the slow cooker’s ceramic pot. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Peel the asparagus, if necessary, and trim the ends. Place the asparagus spears in the pot and cover. Set the heat to HIGH. After 1 hour, turn the asparagus over in the pot and replace the lid. Check after another 45 minutes to see if the asparagus is tender enough. If not, cook for another 10 minutes. Arrange the asparagus on a platter, garnish, and serve.
