Green asparagus with butter crust

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg asparagus, green
  • 4 slices toast bread, crust removed
  • 100 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 180 g butter, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the lower third of the asparagus and cook in salted water for about 8 minutes until al dente. Grate the Parmesan cheese. Crumble the crustless bread (this works well in a food processor). Mix the Parmesan cheese and the bread. Place the asparagus in a greased baking dish, sprinkle with the grated cheese and toast crumbs. Pour over the melted butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°-220°C for 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately.
