Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg beans, fresh green
  • 250 ml water
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • possibly savory

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the beans, trim the ends, and remove the strings. Leave the small beans whole and break the large ones in half. Bring the water, salt, and savory to a boil in a pot. Add the prepared beans and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes, then drain. Remove the savory, if desired, add the butter, and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the beans to a bowl and serve garnished with parsley.
