Green beans and potatoes in spicy sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg beans, green
  • 1 kg potatoes, quartered
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 can/n tomatoes, peeled
  • 2 cubes of stock
  • Garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • bay leaves
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Fassiolata, Greek bean stew

Pour plenty of olive oil into a pot, dice the onions, and sauté briefly. Add the peeled beans. Chop the peeled tomatoes with a hand blender and add to the beans. Add the stock cube, sugar, oregano, and garlic. Simmer for 10 minutes, then add the peeled and quartered potatoes and cook together. Finally, season with salt and pepper.
