Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 piece(s) bacon, fattier
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 jar beans (green beans)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt
  • Sauce thickener, light
  • margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Green beans from a jar, delicious with meatballs

Cut the bacon and onion into small cubes and fry with a little margarine. Drain the beans and add them to the pot. Add enough water until the water level is level with the beans. Let the whole thing simmer over low heat. It’s very important to keep the heat low, as the beans are already soft. Season the whole thing with salt, sugar, and vinegar. Stir in the sauce thickener until the sauce is slightly creamy. Caution! The sauce must not become thick. Simmer the beans like this for half an hour. If a lot of the water evaporates, add a little more.
