a Russian recipe that is very tasty and easy to make.
Cut the pork neck into fairly small cubes. Halve the onions and then slice them into half rings. Mix the tomato paste, salt, pepper, and a splash of vinegar and massage it into the meat by hand. Place everything in a large bowl and fill with milk. Cover and let it soak in overnight in a cool place. The next day, taste the marinade and adjust the seasoning to taste with salt and pepper. About 2 hours before grilling, peel the kiwi and cut it into small pieces. Add it to the marinade and massage it into the meat as well. Important: Do not leave the kiwi in the marinade for too long (max. 2 hours), otherwise the meat will become too soft and fall off the skewer! Then string the meat onto skewers and grill. Drizzle with vinegar water just before eating. Tip: It’s also delicious to marinate fresh onion rings in a light vinegar solution and serve with the shashlik.
