Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) of bread(s) of your choice
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 50 g feta cheese or tofu
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 tsp herbs, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

easy, quick, inexpensive, vegetarian or vegan

Preheat the oven to 220°C, ideally with a broiler. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix together the oil, finely chopped garlic, and crumbled feta or tofu. Spread the mixture on the bread. Arrange tomato slices on top. Grill the bread until the cheese begins to brown. Serve immediately, sprinkled with herbs. For parties, you can prepare baguette slices on baking sheets up to 4 hours in advance and place them in the oven when guests arrive. Set a timer so the smoke from the oven doesn’t remind them of the bread rolls! At children’s parties, preparing the bread together is a fun activity that even the little ones can join in.
