Grilled cheese bread with spring onions and mozzarella

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 baguette(s)
  • 2 spring onions
  • 125g mozzarella
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, soft
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • Salt and pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the baguette into 4 pieces and make 3 diagonal cuts from the top to just above the middle. Finely slice the spring onions, dice the mozzarella, and mix both with the cream cheese and butter. Peel the garlic and press it into the cheese mixture. Season everything again with salt and pepper. Then spread the cheese mixture into the bread notches and wrap each piece in aluminum foil. Grill over moderate heat for about 8-10 minutes, turning once. The cheese should be melted. After this time, grill the bread with the foil open for another 5 minutes to crisp up.
