Grilled cheese burger with ham, arugula, tomatoes and red pesto

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 burger buns
  • 2 slices of cheese (grilled cheese)
  • 6 slices of raw ham, e.g. Black Forest, Serrano or Norderney Sea Air Ham
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 50 g arugula
  • 3 tbsp red pesto

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Rinse the arugula, shake it dry, and tear it into smaller pieces. Rinse the tomatoes and slice them. Cook the grilled cheese according to the package instructions, either on the grill or in a pan. Cut open the burger buns and toast them inside out on the grill or in a pan. Spread the pesto on the bottom buns, then top with arugula, tomatoes, ham, and cheese, and place the top buns on top.
