Grilled Pineapple
The perfect grilled pineapple recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 small Pineapple
- 100 g Strawberries
- Zest and juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 tbsp White rum
- 3 tbsp + 2 tsp brauner Zucker
- 4 Bullets Vanilla icecream
- Some mint for garnish
- Wash, clean and cut the strawberries into pieces. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of sugar and leave to stand in the cold.
- Peel the pineapple and cut into about 6 slices. Remove the inner core with a shot glass (or a small round cookie cutter).
- Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar with the lime zest, juice and rum. Roll the pineapple slices in the sugar mixture, place them on an aluminum grill and grill for about 10 minutes (about 5 minutes on each side, the sugar mixture should caramelize).
- Arrange the pineapple slices on plates with the strawberries and vanilla ice cream and serve garnished with mint.
